skip the 13x5. they are too shallow IMO. 13x7 is good, 13x8 is killer. big ass vents really dry out the sound, as does the thickness.

Just wanted to stop by and thank you all again. Sold the drum for $300, and the young man was crazed over it. When I showed it to him out in the sun that thing shined like a diamond. Almost didn't want to release it from my grip it was such a beauty. I had grown attached to it.
He offered to buy the sticks too. So I sold him $160 worth of brand new sticks in a gig bag for $80. I think it was a good deal for both of us.
Many folks on craigs list are ridiculous. One was quite rude and wanted to buy brand new $460 cymbals for $100. He said that is all they were worth and no one would offer me more. I had many offers, but they were all trades. Just what I need, more junk. No thank you. LOL.... I will take those to a drum store.
Now too bad I can't sell the $2000 purse I won too.

OK I reread this thread,,,,,,,,,,I will now make a GIANT proclamation
" I Dale Riccetti (AKA Dardrum) will purchase a 13" snare drum in the future"
and Yes G at least 7" deep. Well maybe 6.5" anyway
Disclaimer: If indeed Dardrum dies, becomes a cripple, gets really drunk and losses his fucking mind or in General looses it mentaly,,the above proclamation will become nill and void.
